What this product is used for
Straight round-edge and straight-edge processing, shaped round and straight-edge processing, and R-corner chamfering. Suitable for single and double round-edging machines, beveling-machine base positions, shaped machines and chamfering machines.
Matched grit sequence for microcrystalline panel glass
Factories processing microcrystalline panel glass often face a trade-off: a coarser diamond wheel can remove stock quickly, but it can leave a rougher edge pattern. A finer wheel can improve the surface, yet may not remove the deeper lines left by the preceding process. The answer is usually a matched wheel sequence rather than relying on one grit alone.
For this condition, ZHUIFENG recommends starting with a 120-grit diamond wheel for rough shaping and rapid removal of excess material and deeper lines. Follow with a 240-grit diamond wheel to refine the edge. This combination is intended to preserve grinding efficiency while improving edge uniformity and surface fineness.
For single and double round-edging machines, two- or three-wheel sequences are common, such as 150 grit followed by 240 grit, or 120 grit, 180 grit and 240 grit. On beveling machines, a 180-grit wheel is commonly used at the base position. On shaped or chamfering machines, a single 150-, 180- or 240-grit wheel may be selected for rough forming of thin glass. Confirm the current machine, glass thickness and existing wheel sequence before quotation.
