Stable wet coating removal for triple-silver Low-E glass
When triple-silver Low-E glass is processed with an unsuitable deletion wheel, the deleted edge can appear blurred or wavy, show skip marks, or develop drawing marks. These defects can affect later insulating-glass processing and the appearance of the finished unit.
Triple-silver coating stacks are generally more demanding to remove than single- or double-silver coatings. The wheel must be matched to the coating, machine contact condition and cutting requirement. Insufficient cutting action can leave visible processing marks rather than a clean deleted edge.
